There is currently no single starting point for free open-access medical education (FOAMed) on adult respiratory medicine, particularly from a Canadian perspective. While excellent resources exist online—ranging from well-known platforms to more niche, high-impact content—many trainees with a growing interest in respirology may find it challenging to navigate the vast landscape of available learning materials. In addition, much of this content is spread throughout pages on other medical specialties, including primary care, critical care and emergency medicine.

This site aims to bridge that gap by providing:

A structured approach to engaging with respirology and pulmonology content

An introduction to key foundational concepts in chest anatomy and physiology

A guide to interpreting chest imaging, including chest X-rays and CT scans

Whether you’re just beginning your journey in respirology or looking for curated, high-quality educational resources, this platform will help you build a strong foundation and connect with the broader FOAMed respirology community.

We in particular want to acknowledge inspiration for this website by our colleagues at Cardio Guide, who host exceptional content on many high yield cardiology topics.
